HipHopocrites
HipHopocrites is directed towards criters; these are hypocrites that usually refer to themselves as "real hip-hop heads," and hold several double standards. Unfortunately this attitude is prevalent everywhere, and it's reflected not only in discussions, but the music as well. It's not unlike the mindstate that allowed the Nazis to dehumanize Jews during the Holocaust, that allowed the United States to keep slavery legal for years, and allowed "Christian" conquerers to destroy civilizations in the name of what they believed. Throughout history, people have used flawed logic and labels to belittle what they felt was less important, and now its being done with rap and hiphop.

Because of the nature of this writing, I receive tons of feedback each week, even several years after its original publishing. Sometimes people bring new examples to my attention, so it's updated. This is not a stagnant article that you read and never think about again; hopefully, it stays in your mind every time you discuss hiphop, hear a new artist, or think about the culture.

Recycled Topics
Underground vs Mainstream...both artists get repetitive.
Party Joints
This is where hiphop started, now you're a sell-out for it?
Simple Flows
Some considered wack, and others considered "old school."
Innovation
People cry about lack of creativity, then insult it
Live Instrumentation
If you use instruments, are you "real" hip-hop or not?
Producers' Obligations
What moral expectations should hip-hop producers have?

The contents of HipHopocrites are not anti-East Coast or anti-underground, only anti-ignorance. If you disagree and feel you can provide a decent argument, I can be reached by e-mail or the Circuit Board. Positive feedback is also welcome.
